Dolly The Sheep
Our journey through the science of Evolution culminates back in Edinburgh, in the Royal Museum, where we find an average-looking sheep under glass.  This is Dolly the sheep, the first cloned mammal, born in 1997 at the Roslin Institute in Edinburgh.

Just as we used the satellite earth station at Goonhilly as an example of the state of the art of telecommunications and to look back on the development of electromagnetic science, we’ll use Dolly as an example of recent developments in Life Science, and we’ll review the long journey of human endeavor that began when James Hutton stepped onto the rocks at Siccar Point.
